Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, saw the largest increase in wealth in the first half of 2023, followed closely by Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta. The wealth of the world's top 500 richest people increased by $852 billion during this period.

Despite unfavorable factors such as central bank rate hikes, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and banking turbulence, global stock markets generally rose. The Nasdaq Composite Index had the highest increase of 31.73%, while the S&P 500 Index rose by 15.91%. As of June 30th, Musk's wealth had increased by $96.6 billion and Zuckerberg's by $58.9 billion.

The rise in stock prices of Tesla and Meta played a significant role in their wealth increase. Musk and Zuckerberg, who have longstanding conflicts, are considering a fight, and preparations for an ultimate fighting championship (UFC) match are underway.
