2023/07/09

Global Heatwave: UN Issues Urgent Warning on Climate Change Crisis On July 6th, the Earth experienced a record-breaking average temperature of 17.23 degrees Celsius, according to data released by the US National Weather Service.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres warns that climate change is spiraling out of control and if crucial measures are not taken soon, the world will face a catastrophic situation. The heatwave has also caused the Rhine River, Europe's economic lifeline, to reach historically low levels, impacting crucial shipping routes.

Furthermore, there are concerns over Japan's nuclear wastewater being discharged into the ocean. The international community must address these urgent challenges.
